We are more than happy to give you a few tips for how to maintain your candles:
- The first burn is the most important, always burn your candle for approximately 2 hours to ensure an even melt pool. In this way you prevent your candle wax from tunnelling and as a result your candle will last longer.
- We recommend trimming your wick before every lighting. The wick length only needs to be 5-6mm, by keeping it in appropriate length will avoid mushrooming which can result in unnecessary soot. This also controls the size of the flame allowing you to get the most time out of your candle.
- Use a wick trimmer for a perfect trim
- Keep the wax pool free of trimming and matches at all times.
- This candle should not be burned for more than 2 hours at the time and you should never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Extinguish when 5mm of wax remains and do not relight.
Please be advised that all our candles are individually hand-poured using natural coconut wax, therefore you may see small imperfections on your candles. Please note that it will not affect your candle and this is very common when using natural ingredients.
